Chapter 10 - Leadership Notes

Section 10F — Situational Leadership, is new.

Paragraph 10.37.2., Situational Leadership Skills, states:
Situational leadership requires three skills: diagnosis, flexibility, and partnering. The leader must learn to diagnose others’ needs and to use a variety of leadership styles, and come to an agreement with followers about the leadership style they need. A leader is flexible and is able to use four different leadership styles: directing, coaching, supporting, and delegating. The four styles consist of different combinations of two basic leadership behaviors a leader can use when trying to influence others.

But the following paragraph, 10.37.2.2., The Four Basic Leadership Styles, lists the four basic leadership styles as: Telling, Coaching, Participating, and Delegating.
